Lineage — Al-‘Ama’ir of Bani Khalid
The family is solidly attributed to the Al-‘Ama’ir branch of Bani Khalid — among the major settled and Bedouin divisions of the tribe. The Al-‘Ama’ir were historically the sea-going wing of Bani Khalid.
This site documents the descendants of Abdullah and Rashid, sons of Isa bin Khalifa bin Hilal bin Hasan Al Thawadi, of Al-Hidd, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Settlement in Al-Hidd
After the tribal movements linked to Zubarah and the opening of Bahrain (1783 CE), AL Thawawdah settled in Al-Hidd as part of the coastal social fabric — pearling captains (nawakhida), merchants, and community notables.
